Has anybody dropped their Note 3 yet?

Got my phone about 4 months ago, extremely impressed with everything about it but just earlier, out of all the situations, I had my phone in my hand and I was calling on my puppy when I forgot about the phone and dropped it. Luckily it has this flip wallet cover on it but the flip wallet's now ruined. It dropped on its back, the phone with the battery and cards popped from the flip wallet, although it was the bottom right corner of the flip wallet that got all the impact. The bottom right corner has a missing "tooth" so my phone can't lay flat on the case. It's so scary, I've never owned a smartphone before and this experience is negatively nerve wrecking. If it weren't for the flip wallet it would've been really bad.

Please share you experiences with this brilliant phone, I need someone to make me feel better.

I ordered an Otterbox Defender online and it's fake so I had to send it back but now I regret my decisions, the fake one would've worked fine on the situation...

The Otterbox is pretty good (although I have a 14 year old great-nephew who turned his into a few pieces of plastic - it's not indestructible), but I prefer TPU cases. If the case protruded past the screen, even dropping it flat onto a flat surface won't harm the screen.

But it's a big phone, so I don't treat it like the little ones I've had in the past - I make sure I have a firm grip on it.

mine has had a few drops.. on all types of surfaces.. tile, wood, concrete, marble...

it is in a cheap $3 case from amazon. phone still looks great!!

Yes I've dropped once in six months on to carpet. And once it literally was sprung out of it's holder going over a speed bump while using Sygic to navigate at work. I actually caught it by it's case flap, one handed.

Mine too, although the case is even cheaper - a $2 sleeve case with free shipping from China on eBay. So far the case has protected it completely, not a scratch or dent anywhere.

Just yesterday! it was in a shocksock but nevertheless it was enough to eject the pen, about 1 metre drop.
A week or so ago I spilled some coffee on it when I knocked the table, just waiting to see if if these things come in threes!

Have dropped many devices with all different cases and covers and the results were always good never a cracked screen. I believe a screen cover and case has a lot to do with the lack of damage IMO. My Note has a screen protector and slim hard shell case and so far no damage from dripping it just nicks in the case.

I've completely lost count of how many times I've dropped mine. I'm very hard on equipment. The UAG case has protected the phone every time.

Ooof, coffee spills on phones sound horrible, well not to sound selfish or anything, but I'm more at ease now thinking that I'm not the only one who's experienced a horrifying event with a Note 3!

Dropped twice on the bus. Both times face down. Had my S View case on luckily :) No problems at all.

I've dropped mine a number of times but the one time it was damaged was when I was using a case that only covered the back. I dinged up the top of the silver band around the device at the bottom left edge. Now I only use cases that cover the entire bezel area.

I've not dropped mine yet but use the Otterbox commuter case.

I also have my phone insured so if I did damage it I'll get another within a few days :D

I had a TPU case on my note 3 with a tempered glass protector on the screen. I dropped the phone on the pavement and it landed flat on screen. It broke the tempered glass but nothing else was damaged. I now have the zero lemon battery and their case and it looks indestructible.
I would never use anything else.

I use the Seidio Surface case and holster combo and have dropped the phone many times when I failed to snap it securely into the holster. Thankfully, the case can take a bounce pretty well on concrete and asphalt. Maybe I should should wearing the holster on the right since I'm right-handed.

My phone has never once come out of its holster. That's almost impossible to do.

i have an otterbox defender on my phone and i throw it everywhere, not saying its healthy but my phone has never looked better.

Agree!! I had a note 2 prior prior to last Friday. My note 2 had the flip bookcase cover. I've dropped it before (rather minor) and phone was fine. But this time....I had laid the phone down on my car hood (thinking it was my sunglasses..was distracted) and it slid off and hit the ground just perfect and shattered the screen. Luckily I was due for an upgrade and got the Note 3. This time however I wrapped it with the otterbox. Not taking anymore chances. I'll sacrifice the slimniness for protection.

my note 3 was dropped (actually swatted) from my hand as i was trying to take a photo... I am 6 foot 1 inch and my arm was extended up as high as i could reach.. ( around 8 foot + ) ... This is with NO PROTECTiVE case---.... the battery and back plate flew off... with no damage to ANY part of the phone.... very impressed----* I also expose my phone to dust, debris, water, mud, plant juices and plenty of dirt etc. and have had great results... no screen scratches, chips, or anything else.....
