Help Has anyone else's PLAY screen refused to turn on before, requiring a battery pull?

I've noticed a few other similar threads for different phone forums, but not for the PLAY. I've got a US Verizon PLAY, if that's got anything to do with it.

About once every week or two, at any time of the day or night, my phone's screen will refuse to turn on when I press the power or home button, or even slide it open.

It just happened to me again, and I called myself to see if it would vibrate, and sure enough, it did. I could do nothing to answer it though.

The issue can only be remedied with a battery pull, and I'm starting to get worried at this point.

Has anyone else experienced this issue with their PLAY? Can this be fixed with a future update? Is Sony-Ericsson even bothering to support this phone after its poor release in the US?

That happened to me twice already. Once with the alarm so i was sleepy and the screen wouldn't turn on and im surprised i was Able to get the battery out with my eyes half closed lol. But yea i thought it broke or something, i was ticked..... It hasnt happened lately though

I have the Verizon Play and never had that issue. I had an issue once with the screen locking up and wouldn't auto-rotate. I found out it was the google earth app causing the issue.

I have not really encountered anything like this problem before.

Have you tried to reinstall the phone software via Update Service?
If not, I suggest that you do.

Please reply if problem remains after the reinstall.

I have the verizon play, this happened and it randomly stopped. It was caused by an alarm app.
