Help Has anyone had problems with the GPS?

My GPS doesn't seem to work with any navigation app. Very in accurate. Already checked settings, settings are fine. Still doesn't work though, any ideas as to why it's not working.

a guy on xda forums had the same problem. He took his back. they gave him a new one and he hasn't had the issue with the new one.

Factory defect then, they have to give me a replacement since it does have a 1 year Factory warranty and what not

So after reading numerous reports of spotty GPS performance, it finally reared its ugly head on my unit. I typically keep my location off, but needed it for a specific app the other day. This thing reported my location as 1/2 a mile away. Traveling around town my location always seemed to be way off.

Not sure what LG did or didn't do with this model, but it seems to be pretty wide spread. Good thing I don't rely on GPS navigation, but sucks for those that do.

The best GPS I have found is embedded in "Ulysses Speedometer", free from the play store. It's very accurate.

I find the app named "Here" to be very good for navigation without a data connection. However, you still need a working GPS for it to work (obviously).

Happy to report that GPS performance has improved recently. Last night on the train I was able to accurately track my location and find my way around my destination once I arrived. Google Earth shows my correct location, as does Maps.

While GPS has improved, my data speeds have taken a hit. Never happened in my small town. My first taste of over-subscription .

I get some really random moments where it's 100% accurate but when I do need it it's very inaccurate and also very inconvenient. Very annoyed with this this bug. I was hoping the update that was released would fix it, but it didn't. At first it seemed like it did because once my phone booted up from the updating process, I opened Google maps & surprisingly it said I was where I was. Then this morning I tried using it and nothing. Very inaccurate.

maybe its the towers in your area that are causing the issue. Where I am right out side Detroit. I haven't had any issues with it.

The navigation in ulysse Speedometer has never let me down. I drove around California for a week about 2000 miles and the navigation didn't make one single mistake.

The gps on my stylo is kind of crappy even testing with the hidden menu tools.
The little brother (leon) device-only gps performed significantly better with lock time, number of SVs, and updating.
Maybe we did get a batch of bad devices but it's definitely underperforming.

I have the same problem with my Stylo. The GPS is extremely unreliable and inaccurate sometimes. I received a replacement unit and I have the same problem. I guess I will have to dump this phone and get something else. Bummer.
