About to head out to radio shack to put my money down. I'm very excited... It's going to be a long few weeks until it's released. This will be a happy conclusion to my journey that started with drunkenly dropping my sidekick in a toilet.
strangely enough July 21st will also be a happy conclusion to my journey that started out with accidentally knocking my HD2 into a glass of lemonade. Long story lol. If there was a way I could preorder and use my EIP I'd be all over it lol

Is there a benefit to pre-ordering at RS?
It looks like it will be in T-Mobile stores on July 15 now. Does the in-store pre-order at RS mean it's in you're hands on the 15 (or 21st?) or shipped on that date?
Seems a heck of a lot easier to run down to the T-Mobile store down the street and pick one up.
Radio Shack said they would have them on the 21st, but maybe even by the 15th.
For some of us a T-Mobile store is an hour away, but if yours is close it would clearly be a better choice.

Is radio shack still doing the free $50 gift card with a preorder ? Because if so, I wouldnt mind waiting an extra few days to get mine, in order to save fifty bucks![]()
Yes but the gift card can be applied to the cost of the mobile.
When you place your order you buy a non-refundable $50 gift card. That can be used for anything in the store, including the phone. If you don't take the phone, you still have the gift card to spend at Radio Shack. Essentially it's a deposit to reserve the phone, but it's a deposit that you can use in other ways if you change your mind. The only thing it can't be used for is T-Mobile Flexpay payments.

Yes, this is the way I got my Evo at Best Buy. But I was obviously confused, as I thought Radio Shack gave you an ADDITIONAL $50 card, just for preordering with them... meaning an "extra credit", (and not the actual reservation gift card you normally get) Anyway, thanks for the info !![]()
