Has anyone rooted managed to get Optimus G apps running on Lucid?

I tried installing some apk's from the system dump of the Optimus G they wouldn't install. Since both run the OpG UI and ICS I figured the apps should work but they don't. I'm planning on rooting to add Google now but I'm also interested in the OpG apps.If so, how is it done?
