Has anyone used a tripod adapter yet?

I have several tripods and clamp on bracket mounts with 1/4-20 thread. I just need an adapter.

I haven't tried that but I have one that worked great on my droid x and will work on this too. I love them for trips when you don't always have a person handy to take a picture.

I have been looking for a good quality one of these, and would love to know if there are any metal ones out there that will hold the phone in landscape? I have an lg optimus 3d and have a handle bar tripod for my motorbike, so my idea is to find some nice bendy roads and film it in 3d. But i want a good quality adapter that will hold the phone safely. Any suggestions would be much appreciated

Arkon has a tripod for smartphones, it uses their mobile grip holder:

It's plastic, but pretty sturdy, and folds up so you can throw it in your bag.
