Has anyone used Nova?

It is a launcher application that is amazing in my opinion because it allows me to customize my Galaxy further. I have noticed a recent issue though... My phone seems to glitch out and go back to the standard launcher every now and then. I am not sure if they need to be updated t fix this or if an actual android update is what messed this up. Anyone else use Nova?

Used Nova exclusively on all my devices. Like it so much that I also upgraded to Pro. Never had an issue with it.
You might clear the app cache, to see if it corrects your issue.

It sounds like it is an issue with the phone, not the actual app software. Sometimes an app with have minor glitches due to background software (software running in the background). Go over what is running and see if there is any conflicting issues there.

A very large number of members here use Nova, so I'd think it's something in your specific setup that's the cause (what you describe is not a common problem).

If you move from phone to phone it's amazing... Just export your settings from one device and load it straight onto your new one. All your layouts and settings done for you :D

I personally don't use or Like nova however the home issue is something that has happend to me before. I just removed the standard launcher from my apps and replaced it with the one I use problem solved. I am rooted however if you are not rooted you may be able to disable the standard launcher from your settings I'm not sure on that as I said I'm rooted and just remove the standard one.

if there is just one single feature that is the "neatest" with Nova Launcher, I think I would have to rank this "right up there at the top"..

I have my Galaxy S5 "tuned up" from years of use. I know where everything is. It all "just works" for me.

I found a Note 4 which I have been pining for, since even before I bought my S5 two years ago.

When my "new" Note 4 arrived, I made a point of having all of the apps "reinstalled" by using my backups from the S5. Then I opened my email and then opened up my "Nova Backup" folder. Clicked on the latest Nova backup that was just made "yesterday on purpose" for this reason. 15 seconds later, Note 4 was an identical copy of the S5.

You just can't get any neater than that...
Two backup copies, totally configured a new device for me in just a few minutes... and the new device feels like "old home week".

Still using Apex Pro simply because (a) I'm so used to it; and (b) my homescreens are all set up on it. I DID purchase the Nova Pro license so that I can cut over on my next device.

It wasn't really useful for me. I moved to a phone with a larger screen. I went from 4 x 6 homescreens to 6 x 8 homescreens.

But it gave a big headstart in aligning your new "real estate"...

I like to keep similar functions on a page in folders...
My daughter just splashes the app icons all over every page, no folders to organize anything :(

I reduced the number of homescreens I need from 5 to 3. Besides, I could use some reorganising anyway. Got rid of some icons I hardly used anymore. Widgets still need to be resized. Even though I have more rows and columns, they are smaller. Had to fiddle around with widget sizes so the widgets are showing information properly. If I saved the sizes, they would have been too small.
