Has Launcher Pro been force closing often/sluggish since the update few days ago?

I noticed that LauncherPro has been acting weird. It'll constantly restart (the icons would disappear then reappear in 5 seconds), it'll lag at redrwaing the widgets/icons when rotating the screen, and it'll force close on me once or twice a day.
 
The author has heard of the issues, but he needs help to debug it. He has posted a mini-rant and a plea for log files to help diagnose the issues people are having. I'd like to suggest everyone follow his instructions on his web page at LauncherPro to help him fix the issues.

I have been having multiple force closes a day. When I exit an app there is a delay loading my icons. Swiping to other screens is laggy/sluggish. I just wish he would revert the app back a few updates. It was perfect. As he adds more options it is getting worse.

Same here. I switched back to stock sense launcher on my evo. Hope it gets fixed soon. I had finally gotten it to my ideal setup.

Why struggle with LP when ADW is by far the best launcher out? I've tried LP and it sucks really bad. The high appraise bestowed upon ADW says it all.

That is a matter of opinion. I used ADW for a bit and it is better in some regards but over all i found LauncherPro much smoother and faster.

Exactly the same impressions here. LP is MUCH faster for me running Milestone at 800MHz or 1GHz.

Perhaps you had LP & ADW installed at once.. sometimes lag is caused by having 2 launchers on your phone at the same time. This is why a system version of ADW is available. My phones flies and I am using an HTC Magic, it's not even OC'd.

Maybe, but I still prefer LP for its better dock.
 
I tired ADW before I ever installed LP and LP is MUCH faster so I don't know where you get 'best launcher out' but it sounds like you have a horse in the race with a statement like that.
 
I thought it did too until I exited out of the facebook app. It took 10+ seconds until I was able to swipe screens.

I decided to try something. I restarted my phone and went into multiple apps and immediately tried to swipe screens, worked fine. It seems the longer my phone is on the slower LP gets.
 
i've had multiple force closes even after this newest update. it even force closes when i'm not using the home screen. on two occassions it'll force close when i uninstall an app while in the Market.

i'm using ADW and it's noticeably slower :/ the customizations are better though.

ADW flies like it was fueled by octane! Tell me if you are using the system or the standalone version? Having 2 launchers installed will slow the phone. Having ADW installed as the system launcher will cause your phone to fly... better hold it down with something!
