Has Launcher Pro been force closing often/sluggish since the update few days ago?

The truth is it's like telling people with iClones that there are better phones out.. they just can't bring themselves to believe it. Of course ADW is better than LP, but some people like nostalgic apps.. ha ha ha. What I find hard to believe is that people running ADW on an EVO or DROID have lag while I have none on my HTC Magic.. WTF? :eek:
 
Just rooted my Droid 2 days ago. I have had ZERO force closes since then. Not sure the reason but LP is running GREAT now.

Every single one of your posts sounds like you're getting a paycheck for each thing you say about ADW.

Not to mention you can't accept the fact that some people don't like it... at all. I did try it and in fact I tried it BEFORE I ever tried LP and it didn't work well for me at all. I tried LP after it and it was just way better for me. WAY better. It sounds like I'm not alone here but it's hard to hear anyone over your sales pitches for ADW. Maybe lay off the ADW sales approach or start a new thread for it. This IS a LP thread after all.

Just trying to help people out but just like iClone sheep they can't see a good thing when it's staring them in the face. Sadly LP is not the best launcher out but it doesn't matter as long as you are oblivious to anything else. As for getting paid by Ander for telling people about his launcher... I'm not. I just didn't want people using a substandard launcher and complaining about it in forums, but to each to his own.

I'm sorry I exposed you to the truth so soon.. why oh why didn't you take the blue pill?

First, this thread was about issues folks are having with LP and how to resolve them. Why you felt the need to hijack it with your ADW fanboy crap I don't know. It's like if you had an issue with your HTC Magic and posted it and then every post in reply was "HTC Magic sucks, get a DROID". :p

Second, every phone is different (even within a model) and some progams work better with certain phones. ADW was much slower on my phone (yes even as a system app with no other launcher installed) plus I like the customizations in LP. Not to mention everything I need or want, it has.

Third, not sure how you can classify LP as a "nostalgic app." A new updated version was just released today.

Fourth and finally, like mama said, if you don't have anything meaningful to say, keep it shut. :D

BTW, thanks to drowe for a response that was actually on-topic and helpful.

Just the fact that you know the dev's name proves my point. The way you keep saying LP is antiquated and doesn't work also proves my point. It is rock solid & absolutely flies on my phone and has everything I want from a launcher. What you seem to keep missing is I HAD ADW and it WAS NOTbetter than LP. Period. Sorry if that doesn't compute with your fanboy way of thinking that only YOUR launcher could possibly work & anyone who thinks otherwise is an idiot. Actually, it is YOU who looks like the idiot right now and we all see it. If ADW was better I would still be using it and I would still be calling you out on your propaganda posts even though I used it. You're posts are annoying no matter what launcher you use. Just because it's not perfect for YOU doesn't mean you crap on everyone's thread because they don't like exactly what you like. Get a life.

The one thing I cant stand about ADW is that you have to flip the dock up and down. Why not just swipe it side to side like LP?

You can swipe it side to side.. you have 4 main icons on the dock and when you swipe up it reveals a side scrollable dock with more icons.
