Help Has your bionic survived being used as a sponge?

I guess I knocked a glass of water onto my phone in my sleep the other night. I tried the bag of rice, to no avail. Today i took it apart and cleaned any points of corrosion. Now when I try to boot it up (plugged into the wall) all I get is a black screen, and a solid white led that lasted about 10 minutes. Has anyone else been through this? Part of me feels like I wouldn't even get a led if the logic board was fried. Maybe the screen? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I've dropped a few smartphones in my hot tub back in the day. Did the bag of rice with mixed results. Usually if I left them on the charger (after being dried out by the rice)booted up for about a day or so they started working.

Granted, these are just my personal experiences and may not work for you

My Bionic has now been submerged twice. Once about a month after I got it (about four months ago) and it worked fine after. It was dropped in a puddle when I got out of my truck and was completely under water for about 30 seconds. I pulled the battery and let it dry out for a day and had no issues at all.

Yesterday I jumped in the pool to play with my kids and completely forgot my phone was in my pocket... By the time I realized it, I pulled it out of my pocket and noticed water behind the screen :( Again I pulled the battery and let it sit out in the hot sun the rest of the day. It worked fine last night and this morning, but now the screen is extremely dark. I can see the screen is on, but it is like the brightness is turned all the way down and then even turned down more! I am hoping I can fix it, but I have my doubts...

^ Someone needs insurance! I've been fortunate enough not to drop mine in water, but you can also try to get some silicate and add that to the rice mixture (it helps to draw moisture as well).

I believe that the Bionic shows a solid white LED when charging when the battery does not have enough charge to power the phone. It may be that the battery is shot from getting wet, and a replacement will work - though no guarantees...
