Have had my Vibrant for a couple days now

It is stock and coming from an original MT3G with CM6 , my head was spinning with how much faster it starts up and the speed of downloads . Not to mention the obvious things like the screen size and clarity.

As great as the phone seems to be what are the recommendations for making it even more fantastic ?

-Root it
-Flash a custom rom, or flash the new leaked Froyo Jk6 (I love it so far).

You can also apply a lagfix, but I have never. Plus I don't want to mess with it.

Install NoLed from the market. MY FAVORITE app for the Vibrant

oh ya, also install "where's my droid"

If you are asking that question you haven't done your research yet, which is a recipe for trouble.

If you really want to hack your phone, which is certainly your choice, my advice would be to read everything here first:

All you need to do is download the update.zip for rooting, put it on internal sd, restart your phone in recovery, and apply the update.

as the other person suggested read the root section in this forum, also read the bible over at xda-forums.

Thats a lot of info !! But read enough and played with the phone this weekend enough to decide I'll just leave as is for now. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction for the info i needed .
