Help Have no signal after update !!!

updated my phone last night and since it restarted after the installation my phone no longer has a signal and also tells me to insert my sim card even though its already inside. Does anyone have any ideas or similar problems? My network provider is Three in the UK.

Any help/feedback would be much appreciated

ive tried the factory reset with no luck im wondering whether there is a change that my sim card is faulty as it has once before said that my sim card needs to be inserted even though it had been before.

Not sure where exactly it would be on your carrier branded phone, but on the Google Edition S4 with Android 4.4 it's in Settings > Wireless & Networks > More > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names. You would need to Google for changing APN on your specific carrier so that you would know what to type in there.

If you've not reset those before or have never changed them, it would probably be better if you walked into your carriers store and had them help you with it.

my phone wont let me access the mobile networks part thats part of the problem. Sending it off to Samsung tomorrow so hopefully they can sort it out for me. Thanks for the help though its much appreciated
