Help have one day left to return my 4S...

Lurker
I have a few questions on the Galaxy Nexus/ICS and am really hoping you guys/girls can help me out, as I only have 1 day left to return my iPhone 4S before Verizon charges me $35

Here are my questions.

1) I've read reports that the speaker on the Nexus is bad? Bad as in, very low, so as in you may miss alerts because the sound is so low
2) Does ICS support push mail for Hotmail? (I use gmail too, but my main account is hotmail). I do not want to use the hotmail app, I just want to use the normal mail app
3) on Gingerbread phones that I've had, when using ActiveSync for my corporate mail, when I send emails or reply to emails, the text is huge. On the phone it looks fine, but the text is huge for the person receiving the emails. In GB, there is no way to change the setting. is ICS different? Again, I do not want to use a different mail app

Thanks!

1) Download Volume+ (the paid version). It fixes the issue.

3) There is a way to change the setting on GB.. you click the menu button in the email app, click font, and select small. Obviously whoever is receiving the email has the option to pick their own font size. Yes you can change the text size on ICS as well.. there are 5 options from Tiny to Huge.

But honestly, if you aren't willing to use different apps when the stock ones don't suit you, Android is probably not for you, sorry.

2) Does ICS support push mail for Hotmail? (I use gmail too, but my main account is hotmail). I do not want to use the hotmail app, I just want to use the normal mail app

Yes, but don't let it auto configure your account, go through manual setup and choose exchange and then push. I have it setup like this, and all through the normal mail app.

I also have a gmail account, so I have both accounts setup through the normal mail app, I prefer to have all my mails in one place. It allows you to view a combined inbox or individually. If you set it up this way, my advice would be to disable the default gmail app so you don't get duplicate alerts.

Oh and get a GNex, you won't regret it (coming from a 3, 3G and 4 owner).
