Have to install apps twice

Sometimes when I update an app, I will later have to update the same app again. This could be a few hours after updating it, other times a day or two after.

The latest example of this was earlier today. I updateed GO Launcher yesterday when a new version was released and it installed fine, no problems. Then this morning when I was in the Market it said there was an update available for GO Launcher. So I looked at the details and it said it was released on October 10th. Which is surely the same update from yesterday.

Unless for some odd reason they release two updates on the same day, which I can't imagine is right because it happens with more than just GO Launcher.

Has no one else experienced this? Yesterday I updated Opera Mini and today Go SMS, and this afternoon I have two updates in the market - Opera Mini and Go SMS. Both of which are the same updates I've already installed. Anyone got any ideas? It's not a massive problem but certainly a bit bleeding annoying.

Dunno if it's the same issue, but Monday and Tuesday I got several "bogus" update notifications i.e. when I logged-in to the Market the supposed updates didn't exist. I'm assuming server problems as today a couple of apps updated normally.

I noticed today I have 6 updates. AppBrain, GO Launcher, GO SMS, Google Translate, My Tracks and Opera Mini. The dates of the updates are 13, 18, 12, 13, 13 and 11 October respectively. So only Go Launcher is actually an update.

Now this is where it gets a bit weirder. Apart from GO Launcher, only GO SMS wants me to actually update again, whereas the other 4 apps (AppBrain, Translate, My Tracks and Opera) all say 'open' instead of 'update' when I go to their page in the market.

After a restart I only have 3 apps to update in the Market. GO Launcher (actual update from today), GO SMS (an update it wants me to do again, dating from the 12th) and Opera (which isn't an update, it just says 'open' where it should say 'update'). I don't get why Opera is still there after the restart while the other 3 have gone. VERY ODD.

Anyway, I've just cleared the cache and data for the Market and now I'm left with just GO Launcher and GO SMS.
