Had three different Erises and I'm so ready for a new phone. Thanks to the Eris my wife will never own another android phone.

Between my daughter's phone and mine, Eris has been returned five times. Trackball issues everytime! Can't wait to get a phone that actually will let me make and answer calls. Lag is awful, but other than that, I love the size of the phone and the applications.

I put up the same poll in the most popular phone categories on this forum. Results so far for % of people that have sent their respective phone back for repairs:

HTC Incredible - 11.1%
Motorola Droid X - 20.8%
HTC Droid Eris - 28.6%
HTC Desire - 33.3%
Motorola Droid - 33.3%
Samsung Galaxy S - 33.3%*
HTC Evo 4G - 50%

Make of this what you will. It's not the most diligent of surveys so I'm sure people are going to shoot it down for flaws (some of which I can see myself). It's still useful I think. It'd be nice if we could get some iPhone results too.

*Not enough replies for the SGS yet.

My wife and I both had Erises. I got mine at launch. Neither one ever had a serious problem. We've both moved on to Thunderbolts in the past month but our kids still use the Erises as media players. We keep them in airplane mode then connect using wifi when we want to download an app or some music for them. They were great little phones at the time.

I sent my phone back for a kind of a wonky issue. I was able to hear people when making a call, but was unable to have them hear me. This was true with a bluetooth and a wired headset. I had a replacement phone in a couple of days.
