On my Galaxy Nexus when you using a background that is darker and screen brightness is lower it shows wide lines going down the screen. I am not sure if this is a problem, but am wondering if other people have this issue?

I have heard gray/grey sucks on Super AMOLED but never really noticed much on my N1 or NS.

Anyone else see this on their phone?

yes, it's banding. i couldn't really tell on the first one i got but it's a little more apparent on the new one. i have to really pay attention to it though as the only gray that you can honestly notice it on is in the Market when you click on an app or something. and mine aren't dark lines... i have like one or two lighter lines. with full brightness, it becomes increasingly hard to notice.

it's the SAMOLED screens. they really aren't that good, tbh. though lots will swear by the screen on the GNex.

It appears that you need a replacement.
That does not look normal. :(

i'll have to agree. that looks pretty bad. mine is nowhere near that bad. hardly noticeable, and it has to be at a certain brightness.

I took pictures and sent support the problem, just filled out an RMA and waiting for my # to ship it back. :(
