I have done a search and can't find a solution to this problem. If anyone knows where there's a thread that deals with this issue please let me know. I've only had this phone for a month, I'm coming from an iPhone and I'm an Android Noob. So thanks for keeping things as simple as possible for me. Otherwise, I won't know what you're talking about.
When I use Skype on my Optimus V on 3G or Wifi, the calls constantly break up and the sound is just terrible. Does anyone know what settings I should use to get better connection or is this as good as its going to get?
Also anytime I want to use Skype, I have to disable the Executive Assistant Free app that I like to use because this app keeps locking my screen whenever I'm on a Skype call and that wreaks all kinds of havoc with the call that's already breaking up pretty bad as it is? Does anyone know a work around for this? I really like this app because I can read email and respond to text messages while the phone is locked.
In the meantime, until I find a solution, I use Skype on my iPhone on wifi. The phone has no service. I use it as an ipod. My iPhone works great on wifi with Skype but I have to be near wifi to do this. I only have access to wifi at home.
I'm running out of minutes and seriously considering carrying around my portable wireless router just so I can make skype calls from my iPhone. The only other thing I can come up with is not to make calls from my Optimus V when I'm not home.
