Root Having trouble rooting phone after update

I think that you have to us nvflash now I am not positive because I have never rooted a phone but If you go to xda.com and go to the tmo G2x and the Q&A or dev section they explain how to root after the new update. I think it s just as easy as before I think you just flash cm7 or cwm or whatever and it is prerooted I dont fully understand it but if you get this stuff you probally will better than me. So Again xda.com should answer your questions.
