I've downloaded PetesMotorolaTools and tried the 1-click root procedure, but I've been getting the following error:

Try un-rooting first, then running root.

I've never rooted this phone and I'm running the stock GB .605.

Good news, I finally got root!

I had to enter a command prompt, but after that it worked fine. I was a little nervous at first since this is my first shot at this, but all seems to be ok. Now I just have to build up the nerve to try and flash a new ROM on this thing.
