Help Having trouble with some prog not able to install on SD

Lately some programs i try and install will downlaod but then not be able to install on the SD card. I cant seem to find a way to default downloads to phone then move them.

The other issue i had was with Pinball deluxe it downloaded and installed the first time then had an update that wouldnt install i moved it from the card to the phone (which solves some update prob for other programs) but to no avail. So i unmounted the SD then re mounted it and it finally installed. However this doesnt work for other programs like todays Amazon free game meteor brick breaker.

Any thoughts for a newbie android user?

Some programs will not allow you to move them to the SD card. The only way around it is getting root. There is an app that can do it for you, but I am pretty sure you need root.
