Hawaii coverage

We are on the big island. Not that there are a lot of people that care, but I've been anticipating getting here to see how my Sprint coverage was here compared to VZW. Especially after all the roaming and troubleshooting in Alaska I was a little worried that my data might not really work. (After being brainwashed from VZW into thinking I wouldnt have service on another network.) So far it's great! I don't have 4g, but my 3g is fast so not too worried about that. I know Maui and Honolulu have 4g hopefully they'll put it over here someday.

You can also roam on VZW when needed. I actually caught some Big Island VZW signal from the back side of Maui.

I switched from Verizon because of coverage issues. But when I visited Hilo this weekend, I had to walk around to get a call out. I was right by the airport with my Evo. I'm sure if I had my Droid, I wouldnt have been able to make a call.

I'm on Oahu.. I haven't been to the big island yet with my phone. But I switched over from VZW to Sprint and the coverage is just as good all over the island. 3G speeds are very quick as well. 4G speeds are just mediocre, maybe 2-2.5mbps. But otherwise I'm very happy with the sprint coverage on Oahu and have not dropped any calls or not been without service.
