Root HBoot Driver Issue

Hi

i have viewed various posts re the driver issues but cant see to find one like mine.

basically when I plug the phone in when its in HBOOT it shows HBOOT USB PLUG but under Device Manager the driver is already showing as 'Android Phone MY HTC' so there is no option to install i.e. under the 'Other devices' route. only update the driver.

is there any solutions so that i can correctl install the bootloader driver??

You can delete then re-install. What exactly is the issue anyway?

i click uninstall driver but it just automatically re-installs the wrong driver to MY HTC upon re plugging in the usb. the only option i have is to update - is it safe to proceed down this route?

i guess the issue is windows should search for the bootloader driver when i am in hboot but it doesn't and automatically finds and installs an incorrect driver
