Root hboot upgrade

im new to flashing. i want to root my evo shift 4g. i found a good place to do it but
I have hboot .99
and to root my phone
I need to upgrade from .99
to 2.15 or 2.16 in order for revolutionary
to make this happen.
would someone please advise or assist in this
procedure. thanks in advance.

Hello, I see you were able to help kaw12 out on an issue. I like to know if you would be able to assist me. I am having the same problem. I'm on -0.99 and need to go to 2.15 or 2.16 evo4g. Been on the web for hours looking for a solution. If I upgrade through my phone It will go to 2.77.
