Root Hboot USB connection not showing [FIXED]

I've had my Evo V flashed onto a couple roms and have had my fair share of issues/bootloops, but have managed to sort all of them out so far. This problem, however, is a little beyond me. I was re-flashing the Anthrax kernel when my phone entered a boot loop.

For the record:
Bootloader is unlocked
S-On
HBoot 1.57
4EXT

When I an in 4EXT, my device shows up in the device manager as "HTC Android Interface" and when I check devices in the command prompt, it shows up as HT26NHX01122 recovery

I can type in "adb reboot bootloader" and it will boot to HBoot. Here's where it gets annoying. The LED doesn't light up (not sure if this is regular, don't believe so). Also the driver no longer shows up in the device manager, and it says "FASTBOOT" When I scroll, however, it shows as "FASTBOOT USB", and stays like this even when I unplug it. Because of this, when I type "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" in the prompt, it stays at < waiting for device >

I've been searching around for a while now trying to find anything to fix it. I've tried re-flashing the rom in hopes the old kernel would fix it, doing a factory reset, wiping all the phone's partitions and re-flashing the rom, all to no effect.

I think part of the issue might be USB debugging may possibly have been off, but that's a wild guess. If anyone could help, I'd appreciate it immensely.
