HDE 7" Tablet case w/USB keyboard...

Just picked this up for $12 at amazon:

The keyboard did not work with some micro-USB port replicators and USB female adapters had, but it works with a few of the stock "Samsung USB port" replicators. I'll post pics later. Only problem is that the tab mounts are way too high to keep the tab secure so you can't carry it around without it falling out. Some sort of foam or straps will be required for that.

I'll probably just leave it on my desk at work. Its quite a bit faster than Swype for long entries, such as this post and email for instance, but Swype is fine for the bulk of what I need. It really shines with editing as its much easier to get the cursor in the right place, etc. However for $12, plus the $20 or so for the USB adapter, its not bad. Definitely a keeper even if seldom used.

Here is a pic of the other USB adapter which will work...only $20 at BBuy, amazon, et al:

...and the one that I am using ($7.50):

Interesting. I had been thinking of a bluetooth one. Looks like the case was maybe for the original Galaxy Tab?

I am going slow in trying to figure out what I am getting, though I do really want a longer charge cord.

FWIW, I just got the 2 meter cables, from the link above...they work, despite not being "Samsung" branded.

hey,

a few questions, if you have the time:

1) adapter #1 - any chance you have a link to it on amazon? i cant seem to find the correct one, they all say its not compatible with 7" :S

2) adapter #2 - id much rather have this one, since it also has sd card reader functionality. do you have a link for this one? and, it really works on 7"?

3) what OS are you using?

thank you in advance!
ana.
