Help HDMI connection to my Samsung Note 10.1

I want to play videos from my Note 10.1 through a HDMI cable to the TV, I am running JB 4.1.2.

I am going on holiday and I know the LG TV has a spare HDMI port, so I want to connect it to that.

The TV has usb but it does not play movies, only photos and music.

Could someone advice me on a cable adapter that actually works. (tried and tested)

I also have a Galaxy S3, so I could use that connected via HDMI, if that makes it an easier option to get an adapter for. also on JB 4.1.2

You need a MHL-to-HDMI adapter and a standard HDMI cable. As far as I know it has to be a Samsung adapter because of its 11pin connector. Standard MHL-to-HDMI (which works with the S2) won't work with the S3.
