HDMI connection with a conversion

Does anyone know if there's a conversion for the HDMI connection to hook up to the non HDMI connection TV's? Or does it simply does not exist, that you absolutely have to have a flat screen panel tv with a hdmi connection.

I remember seeing an HDMI to DVI (bought one! less than $3) and an HDMI/Component (RBG) for $185 (gotta convert digital to analog or vice versa, requires an on-board mini-computer to convert.

Hd Fury works very well for this. You can get one that does Ypbpr, or one that does VGA (but ofc, your TV probably doesn't have that either) They run 50-60 from monoprice.

edit: iirc you DONT need the power cable for it, our EVO actually supplies the power to run the fury over the HDMI's voltage wires.

you MUST get something that converts it, those HDMI -> RCA cables are fake and DO NOT work at all, ever.

okay well i have an s-video connection on the back of my tv so most likely I will have to find a converter cable and/or box from s-video to hdmi
