Help HDMI micro to HDMI question

Hello folks, I purchased Jetflicks the other day, my plan was to tether my HTC EVO to my television via HDMI micro to HDMI input. I was anxious so I just went to radio shack and bought the only one they have, got raped cause I didnt want to wait and get a $5.00 one from Monoprice.

I get the cable home, plug everything in and it works great, I watched an episode of the Sopranos...I pause the show, come back like 10 minutes later and now it wont work...I tried it every which way and now I'm pissed. I returned the cable and go buy the one off of Monoprice... get it home, nope, wont work.... I need some advice on what to do...Are there any settings I'm missing???

HTC EVO purchased last year, my Television LG 50" Plasma with like 4 HDMI inputs, two of which are taken by other components

Which HDMI out app are you using? There are two. The free Full HDMI by team Win or Orrebamas' Full HDMI paid app. I personally use the paid app by Orrebamas and was a beta tester before it's release. If you are using that app PM me and I'd be glad to help. As I have no experience with the team Win app, can't be much help.
