Root HDMI mirroring with which ROM's?

I'm running the Synergy RLS1 ROM which I love but was wondering if the HDMwin kernal will work with it? Thanks.

the original hdmi kernel only works with froyo roms. i do not think that they came out with a stand alone gingerbread kernel. however, they do have it cooked in two of the gingerbread kernels that are out now. chop suey and freedom kernels have support for it.

OK, so Chop Suey or Freedom will work with my current ROM? I'm not real tech savvy so if this is the case do I just flash one of these?

yep just make a nandroid backup and wipe dalvik cache and cache and flash the kernel.

Thanks.. Last question. I'm running the Synergy ROM that doesn't have "Godmode", does that matter or do I need to run the one with "Godmode"?

that is up to you. it is supposed to speed up your phone, but my phone never loved godmode. it was very unstable for me and it takes forever to boot up as well. but a lot of people like godmode. just make a nandroid backup and try it out if you want to.

Ok sorry. Last question I promise. Which "Chop Suey" file do I DL for use with my non-Godmode Synergy ROM? They show a Synergy one with "Godmode" a "Nightly" and a "Universal"? Thanks.

do the universal kernel as you are not on any of those roms.

Flashed the ChopSuey 9.2.7 kernal and the HDMI works as advertised. Gonna see how well the rest works over the next few days.
