So i just bought a cheap hdmi cable for my htc evo 4g and i am having some issues with this. It could be because it was really cheap but i just wanted to get some advice to see if its another issue. When i hook the wire to my tv and my phone, nothing comes up on the tv when i play anything...whether it be my videos from the gallery or youtube videos. the phone does have a little notification that shows up saying something like video out connected...so it seems like it should be ok...just nothing shows up.
