Help HDMI Out, picture is not wide screen.

I bought a hdmi out dock to watch netflix and the picture is not widescreen like the display on the phone. The picture is not cut off on the sides but squished into a smaller space. My tv is a widescreen tv so I don't understand why it isn't filling up the whole space.

Has anyone experienced this? Is there a settings menu for hdmi out?

AFAIK, there is no settings available. What ever happens on the phones screen gets mirrored to your tv. Try using a different tv or even a stand alone adapter. I personally prefer the dock that has a slot for charging a second battery, there isn't one available that provides both so I just use a separate adapter coming out the back of my dock so now I can do both HDMI and charging a spare battery with the same dock.

Have u tried unplugging the cited in the back of the dock and just plugging ur phone in that?

Have you ever tried streaming the video you're trying to play off of netflix.com or through a game console to see if they have the same problem? A good amount of shows on there aren't in widescreen format. I think only the last few seasons of Trailer Park Boys and Family Guy are in widescreen, for example.

Trailer Park Boys is definitely one of the best tv shows to ever come out of Canada. Better even than Boys in the Hall.
