Help HDMI Output Stopped working with Froyo 2.2 Update.

Hi, I just wanted to see if any people could use the HDMI cable with success on Froyo.

I was considering getting the cable for my stock Evo. I don't have a TV, but rather a big computer monitor that I believe I could hook the Evo up to.

For those who have the cable, what do you mostly use it for? I think it's neat but I'm trying to think how I'd use it. Would you recommend getting the cable?

Also, I see the cable cost $30 on Sprint's website. Anyone find any cheaper places to get the cable online?

Thanks!

Add me to the list. Videos work fine on my Samsung 650's but no gallery even using slideshow. Messed with the settings and nada. TV does show it's connected but just black screens on both TV's and phone. Pretty irritating. Using both standard and high speed cables from Monoprice.

Add me to the list as well. Had my evo since launch day, but just got my hdmi cable today. Plugged it in, my tv recognized it as it went black instead of saying No Signal. Videos kind of work, they take a few seconds to start playing on the tv. But I cannot get pictures to work. this is the whole reason I bought the cable.

I have been having trouble since day one with hdmi pre froyo and post. I dont get anything on the screen or tv. I've got 3 different hdmi cables, and 4 different tvs to try on and still no luck. I've called htc last week 9-15-2010 and they said an over the air fix suppose to be coming out this week but I've read that was for something else. Any idea on how to fix the problem, I do like and miss the feature even though it only worked for about 30 seconds for me.

For the record, with the latest update, you can now view pictures in slideshow in your HDTV.

I just tested it and it works perfect.

It does work, but the picture quality is bad for bright pictures (at least for the small sample i tried). It could be my TV, of course, but pics from the TV's sd card slot look very nice.
