Help Hdmi settings coming up?

[corliss]

Hello, I'm a little disappointed of not being able to specify any display settings when using my note 2 hooked up via an mhl/hdmi adapter, like resolution to start with. Today I talked to a guy at Samsung who said he had heard a rumor that hdmi settings will be implemented in an upcoming android update. It's not in 4.2 right? Does anyone know anything about this rumor?
Best Regards

I don't see this as an issue but what are you trying to accomplish in the first place? I use my MHL when I want to show off content that's in my phone and it looks fantastic on my plasma. I haven't checked what resolution my device is displaying at but I don't even care, it looks great once I adjusted my tv settings so I can fit my entire home screen on to the display.

The problem is that the playback on the tv gets "slightly" choppy, barely noticeable but still uncomfortable, guess it's because the frame rate gets too low with a 1080p screen. Cuz i tried on a 720p screen and no problem there. I hope it's not because the adapter or gpu is broken, and I don't think so.
