? head phone jack, no sound

Hi, MP3 plays through phone speaker but not through earbuds. I tried a couple diff headphones. The headphone icon comes on when jack is plugged in. I do have the media vol up.

Is there a setting i might have changed? Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Well, I once got tissue paper stuck in the earphone jack. I had the same problem as you then. Have a look around in there with a touch. I used a needle to get the stuff out...

Ive had this happen. The automatic output switching seemed to get stuck. Can't remember if I restarted the music player or power cycled the phone.

With all my plugs I cannot push them into the jack all the way.
Try pulling out the plug and see if you can find the "sweet spot" where it works.
