Accessories Headphone for Droid X WITH volume and mic control?

Why are there no products like this for Android, specifically the DX, but a million for the iPhone? I want to play music. I want to control volume. And I want a mic. Is this too much to ask for? Has anyone found one that works?

How can such a big OS have such a whole in the market?

Try the Sony DR-BT100CX bluetooth stereo controller has a main box hooked up to what appears to be normal headphones the ones that fit in the ears. on the main box theres a control for volume and forward and backwards on tracks for songs it also has a built in mic.

I know exactly what you mean. I've bought 3 headphones with mic and controls in hope that they would work, and I only managed to get the mic to work on one but no controls work. Its frustrating... why do manufactures focus only on iphone?
Curious to see if anyone has a solution.

I am interested too, however I want something that plugs into the phones 3.5mm jack,Id like to avoid another bluetooth device, which kills battery life on the x,not to mention the PITA of pairing it and unpairing, then pairing to my truck afterwards confuses it,takes it awhile to pair with a dfifferent device than it last paired with.

I'm using this one. It is BT, however, but has not drained my battery.

Jabra STREET Headset ? Bluetooth Stereo headset for music and talk

This unit fits my needs. The volume, compared to hard wired ear buds, is almost 100% - maybe a 10% drop-off at most, which is easily compensated by bumping the BT volume control. Some may not care for the "dog tag" style, but for me it allows me to use my own headset or helmet speakers by just plugging into the 3mm jack on the BT. The tag has large buttons for volume, next/last track, pause and phone, all of which can be pressed while wearing gloves (with a little practice). Depending on your phone, you might be able to fast forward or rewind. It does NOT, unfortunately, have a separate auto-answer feature - it relies on the phone answering configuration. Also, the ringtone of your phone does not play in your headset - what you hear are the ringtone playing on the phone and a series of beeps on your headset to let you know you have an incoming call. You then must press the phone button on the BT tag to answer.

I use Skull Candy w/ a mic and some form of other volume/pause control that I don't use. Spent about $60. I would buy another pair tomorrow.

Which skullcandy do you use? does the mic work as well? I contacted skullcandy because I like their products but they don't know if the mic would work on the Droid X.

Thanks in advance!
