Help Headphone Issues

Hey everyone, I'm new here, and I need help.

My Galaxy SII is refusing to play through headphones properly, I've tried 6 different ones so far:

The one's that were boxed with it - Worked fine, but eventually got to very distorted and muted sound, and barely any vocals (May have been a cable breakage, not sure)

Jays a-Jay's One - Phone not recognising them as headphones

JVC Xtreme Xplosions - Very distorted and muted sound, barely any vocals

Different variation of JVC XX's - Not even recognised

Official Apple Headphones - Worked fine (sadly they were a friends, so i couldnt keep them)

Skullcandy Ink'd - distorted and muted sound, barely any vocals

Sennheiser PXC-360 BT - Not even recognised


I don't know whether its the jacks on them, or whether it's a faulty phone, what do you guys think?

I read once that you need to press it in a little harder because it has 4 rings or something like that. I use the originals and they work fine for me.

Yeah, tried that and it didn't work...
