Help Headphone Jack issue...is this normal?

When I push the headphone jack all the way in while playing a YouTube video the video stops and the music app comes up. IF I pull it a little way out I can hear the video but its all crackling. Not sure if this is normal. Just got this so I need to know if I should take it back

The issue you are experiencing is normal. Depending on your music player, you can set the defaults on what happens when you plug in headphones.

I noticed that it does take a little more pressure to push in the headphones fully. I was surprised when I noticed that my headphones weren't fully plugged in, but could still hear the sound, albiet poorly.

Do you know where this is located on the Note?

I use Rocket Player for my music player. The app overrides the Stock Music Player and has an option to shut it off the auto play in the menu settings.
