Headphone jack not working

I only get sound out of one ear whenever I'm using the headphone jack. If I use my bluetooth headphones I get sound out of both ears but not through the jack.

Took it in to the AT&T store and they tried using an air can to remove any lint etc but problem persisted.

She notated my account that she had verified the jack doesn't work and I'm gonna have to call the warranty dept and get a new phone.

Not too worried about it since my bluetooth headphones work but sucks cause I do use the jack for my car radio.

Oh well...anyone else had an issue with the headphone jack?

hmm...at first I thought it was my earbuds when i'd hear one speaker go out if i moved the jack around...but i heard the same thing when plugged into the AUX of my radio with another plug...thinking my jack may be jacked a little.

Yeah at first i thought it was my case pushing the aux cord out of the jack cause when i pushed down on it it would work, so i took the case off, but problem persisted, switched cords and still had the problem, once i tried the headphones i realized it was a bad jack.

mine's not so bad right now....doesn't do it much. I only notice it if I'm moving it around or putting it my pocket or something. Once it gets worse I'll definitely take it back before the year warranty is up...but i have the damn $10/month Best Buy protection too so at least i'm covered after the year.

Hate to be a Debbie Downer but mine was not that bad in the beginning also then it got worse over time, so definitely keep an eye (or ear) on it.

Samsung was using a 3.6mm jack until they switched with newer models.... So the 3.5 we all use is only slightly off.... And after good use of it...it tends to do that...but you can buy a 3.5 jack with the loud speaker together for about $5 off of eBay or any wholesale parts store....very easy installation...does void warranty...but fixes the problem 100% of the time
