Headphone problem

Hey

When I plug headphones into the phone for music, things work as expected.
Upon unplugging, the phone still thinks there's headphones in there, and I hear no noise from the speaker, not even from calls. A restart of the phone fixes the problem until I want to listen to music again :/

Help would be appreciated =]

Yeah this problem crops up from time to time for some people. There's an app in the market that lets you manually switch between headphones and speaker, which is a workaround.

Not sure why they felt the need to reinvent the wheel w.r.t. headphone sockets, theyve taken something that's been working cheaply and reliably for decades and ended up with an overengineered solution that regularly goes wrong. Nice work guys.

I think I read this was a problem with the old firmware, fixed with the latest. Kaine, have you updated to the latest 2.73 version? I see you have daveybaby, presumably this is not something you suffer with, or is it?
