Help Headphones issue

Hey,

So a bit late I upgraded to Android 4 from 2 last week. Did it through my phone company and all as should.
Since then, I seem to have a problem with the headphones jack, it receives regular headphones without a problem. But when I connect a "connector" cable (not sure how it's called) between my phone and my aux-in input in my car, it doesn't seem to recognize it as headphones.

What can I do? Did anyone experience that?

Are you sure that your player is in "AUX" and not "CD/MP3"? That's usually the mistake of my friends when they plug in my S2 to the car and because I am selfish, I don't say that to them so I would solo all my music. >: D

Have u used that AUX cable with your phone before the upgrade?

Am guessing u should try another AUX cable mate..
