Headphones keep disconnecting from jack when moving around. Replace?

My X2 is about a month old and starting a few days ago when I walk to my classes I notice a few crackling noises and the music stops. When I tried playing music again it was working fine but when I moved the headphones around just a bit the phone will think it has disconnected. I tried this with another pair and it had the same problem. Then I tried both headphones on my laptop and there were no problems. Is there a fix or should I consider replacing or just get a different phone?

A repair like that would have to be done by someone who knows what they're doing. You will also need to open up your DX2 which will void the warranty. I would call Verizon and explain and request a replacement. If they don't give it to you, say thank you, hang up, and call right back. Someone will help you eventually.

Its covered under warranty....I had the same thing happen to my droid x..they replaced it with a refurb phone....free of charge. Its the only problem i ever had that wasnt software related with my droid x or x2....so far ive had the x2 about 3 months and its good....the lady at verizon told me the droid x/x2 have higher than average number of problems with the headphone jack...

I personally think it is a design flaw. The hole is angled. It should fit flush with the headphones. I think it leaves wiggle room which is not very smart.

I decided to exchange it for a Droid Charge. I'd rather not get a different X2 because of that slanted angle on the jack. Don't want to have that problem again. Thanks you guys.

Were you withing 14days of getting your DX2? Just curious how you changed to the Charge?

Best Buy has a 30 day policy where you can bring your phone back. $35 fee for exchanging phones which sucks but whatever. The Charge price dropped to $150 which I thought was a pretty good deal for a 4G phone this powerful. I am loving it so far.
