Headphones Nanny Driving Me Nuts!

I'm hard of hearing, so I use the full volume on my headphones whenever possible, but LG seems to think I can't be trusted to set my own volume and constantly resets it lower every time I plug in and waves their finger at me admonishing me I'll hurt my ears at higher volumes. Is there any way to disable this junk and just run the volume so I can actually hear my music? What next, criticism of my music choices?

Seriously, and help here would be great!

They make the phones for the masses, and they're still under the impression that most kids haven't damaged their hearing yet (which is probably more of a myth than Yeti). About all I can suggest is a small pocket-sized amplifier or hearing aids with Bluetooth. Even with 100db loss at 4KHz in one ear, I can hear my music pretty well with decent earbuds. And 100db loss is EXTREME hearing loss. (A 747 engine only generates about 120dbw. If I'm not looking, I rarely notice a motorcycle passing right past me, at about 90dbw.) So your hearing loss must be quite a bit worse than mine.

I can hear just fine with the headphones, I just have to manually turn the volume up to max every time I go to use them. (They're special telecoil capable earhooks).
