Help headphones no longer work

When I am listening to Pandora and doing the dishes I will plug it into the under the counter cd player through the headphone jack. It no longer works.I can plug headphones in and they will play at a low volume and sound still comes out of the speaker. Any ideas? Thinking of resetting the whole phone but would hate to lose programs.

Okay this may sound ridiculous, but it happened to me. Make sure you push the headphone jack all the way in. It's a very tight connection on the Epic, and some times the jack will not seat properly.
