Help Headphones switching to headset randomly

Hey on my phone whenever I use the music player or Pandora or anything with music, and I plug in my headphones it messes up. It'll work normal and then all of a sudden itll switch to a headset icon and the music messes up. I have to take out the headphones and plug them back in, and on Pandora I have to switch songs also.

Any idea on how to fix this??

I've tried 3 sets of headphones and even a pair of speakers.

Yep! Drove me crazy til I found "headset blocker" in the market. It's a widget, add it to a homescreen, press it and so far it has worked wonderfully!
