headphones with controls

So my current headphones (iphone headphones WITHOUT volume buttons, just a mic) gave out and ever since I left my blackberry for the tbolt and android, I've missed dearly the volume buttons controlling the next/previous track, and the custom mute/pause button.

I've been doing some looking around, and seems like there are quite a few apps that allow you to control headsets with buttons on them, (Headset Droid and Headset Button Controller). I've always been used to iphone headphones cause I find them to be the cheapest/most comfortable/and best sounding. So now I need to get some new headsets and wondering if anyone here has tried a headset that works for android and has buttons coming with it. I've done some looking around on ebay and have found these

iPhone 4 G EARPHONES WITH VOLUME CONTROL MIC HEADPHONES | eBay
Iphone headphones that probably won't work with android (the buttons that is)

OEM HTC STEREO HEADPHONE HEADSET EARPHONE INSPIRE 4G | eBay
Looks promising...though not sure how decent the sound quality will be.

Hey man, I actually strolled through that thread but couldn't find anything about the iphone 4 headphones or the htc headphones, mostly much higher quality headphones that I have no desire to pay for :)

There are a couple posts in the thread I linked that talk about HTC headphones that are for the Desire HD that are relatively cheap and work well with the Thunderbolt. I found a pair on Amazon for like $12. Also, if you're looking for cheap headphones I know that BlackBerry headphones w/ mic work on the TB as well

Just said F it and got the HTC ones from amazon. $3.80 free shipping....so cheap no reason not to get it. Will report back and see if it is the all encompassing headphones for under 10$ that's compatible with our phones.

In case anyone was wondering the htc workphones work flawlessly with Headset Droid app (wasn't at first but you have to really jam your headphone into the port good!! Does everything so easily and i can control everything with 3 little buttons!
