Google Listen gave me SERIOUS battery issues. Had to use a task killer to properly exit the app.
I think you have setup google listen to only download while on Wi-Fi and while charging.
Follow along with the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen.

The latest version of Wapedia was keeping mine awake until I uninstalled it. The older version didn't cause this problem.
Bump.
Anyone have any thoughts on this? I'm kinda thinking I'll leave it up there and you can decide for yourself if you want to deal with it or any of the other IM apps.
Just because thats how it functions, doesnt mean its OK. This thread is for apps that won't let the phone sleep, and Meebo is one of them, regardless of how its used.Anyone have any thoughts on this? I know that someone answered my question about how to tell what application is keeping your phone awake before but now that I have my phone I am confused. I have tons of "backgroud" applications:
Accounts & Sync
Android Live Wallpapers
Astrid Tasks
Astro
Gesture Search
Gmail
Google Voice
HTC Message Uploader
HTC Sense
Internet
Market
Messages
My Verizon
News and Weather
People
reddit is fun
Settings
Slacker
Swype
Sync Service
Transdroid
So anyone of these apps could cause problems to my system? Should I uninstall apps that are listed as backgroud? How do I know which of these could cause poor battery life?
also, i find it helps to back out of apps instead of just hitting home when you're done.
I tried that but it didn't work. I killed everything but the power and the phone stayed awake. Until I restarted. Then it slept the rest of the day while off. It usually happens once a day, all at random times, then I simply restart and it goes away. But it sucks that I can't figure it out.I also found this to be extremely important. Several apps I had issues with were all resolved by simply backing out. Little frustrating, but easy enough.
Also, using SystemPanel there is a very easy way to find out if it's a background app or an active app that is keeping your phone awake.
