Root headset difficulties. HELP

I rooted my dad's X and threw liquid on it. Its been fine for over a month now. But today it shows the headset icon in the notification bar and doesnt allow a normal call to be placed. Speaker phone works but not the earpiece. Any ideas what would cause this before I sbf it and see if it corrects any problems.

sounds like you may have a defective ear piece, i would suggest sbfing to froyo, then try placing a call, if it does the same thing agan, that would def mean that you have malfunctioned hardware, and since you have already sbf'd you will be fine to turn it in.

weird thing. about an hour after i posted this, it started working again. And still going strong tonight.

I'll report back in the morrow and see if it still works

This used to happen to mine if I had the AUX of my car stereo plugged in, running Pandora (or music player) and then unplugged the headset before shutting the application down. It also would make a difference if I had it in a dock or not. Must remove from dock before pulling out headset.

Quick fix was always to make a phone call and it would be on speaker phone, then I just touched the speaker off button and all was good.
