Root "Headset" Issue.

So I was recently, finally, able to flash my LG optimus m to CM7.1 (Reppard's mod I believe). Before my phone was able to answer calls and play the call audio through my earphones and allowed me to talk through the phone's speaker, so I didn't really need to buy a phone headset. Now that I have "upgraded" the OS to gingerbread (2.3.5) from Froyo (2.2.1 and 2.2.2), I can no longer do that. I've noticed that when I plug in my earphones during a call, a headset icon appears on notification bar on the top of the phone; I can hear the call audio through my earphones, but the the phone's speaker doesn't pick up what I am saying. Is this something that is lost through changes in the OS or am I just missing a setting somewhere? Thanks for the help and your time.

These problems are often device-specific rather than Android-generic, so I've moved your thread here to where other LG Optimus M owners may be able to help. :)

I think its the rom, i personally use beats and could always hear them talk when i answered a call but could never talk back. Either that or you would need like a bluetooth device. Other than that Im pretty much stumped too :\
 
Have you tested my last release to see if this is still broken?
What's not fixed is wired headset mic not working.
 
Woops. I thought I had signed up for email notifications for this thread. I ended up ordering a bluetooth headset. Thanks for the info though. Glad it wasn't me being a noob.
