Help Heat warning when charging

Hello,

When I charge my Galaxy S2 I see the yellow triangle with ! inside of it.. Sometimes it will flash a thermometer along side it.

I have replaced my usb flex cable. I have also replaced the battery. The problem continues to persist.

My phone is running ICS. I have not rooted it.

With a charged battery my phone will turn on.

I have not found a similar situation.

Mine runs a little warm when I am using the phone and charging at the same time, but never to the point that the warning comes up.

Do you have a lot of apps running when this happens? You might kill a few apps or free up some running processes. Usually this occurs when you have a lot of current going out at the same time a lot of current is coming in.

Just a thought.

i guess that's normal i have 2 s2 devices they all have the same thing !

My phone will not turn on because of the temperature warning.

My phone will boot if a charged battery is put in it.

OK. Wow. Yeah. I would be a little concerned. Mine doesn't get that hot, but like I said, it does get warm. Sorry, I have no idea. Is it a Genuine Samsung battery or aftermarket?
