Heavy Duty Cases?

After using an iPhone 3G for the last several years, it has gotten very slow which has caused me to look for something new.

Having used Samsungs (SGH-e315 and SGH-d807) for a number of years prior to the iPhone, I'm looking into the Samsung GS2/E4GT.

I've had my iPhone in an Otterbox Defender since new and want something like that for my E4GT.

Otterbox says are on their website that they have no plans of making cases for this phone.

Is anyone aware of anything like that for this phone? I'm familiar with the Casemate Tough.

I contacted Ballistic Case Co. and they have no plans for making an HC series case for the E4GT :(, though they are working on this(in Sprint stores late October, on Ballistic's site early November):

Samsung Galaxy S ll Epic 4G Touch Ballistic Shell Gel (SG) Series Case by Ballistic Case Co.

Are there any other heavy duty cases coming that I should be aware of?

Otterbox has a case for the Samsung SG II but it is not for the Sprint version of the phone. :(

I hope that ballistic comes out with one soon. Thanks for the information.
 
I have been using sedio for a few years now and i am very happy with their products, sedioonline.com, look at the active combo. i have that on my evo

i agree; its pathetic that no mfg has released a heavy duty case for this awe sum phone yet..
Until they do, I grabbed a case mate Tough case from Mobile City for 19.99

Its the most protective case out there for this phone right now, and until trident or ballistic release something, this is your best bet

thats true; I have had 2 ballistic cases, and, there is NOTHING like them, if you drop your phone, or are rough on them....Otterbox doesn't even compare..
They are big and bulky though. so beware..
 
Ordered the Ballistic case as well, I am glad a company actually seems to want my money for a high quality case. I had never heard of Ballistic before, nor Trident. I just had heard of Otterbox and had a defender series on my Hero for a while now. The thing was pretty large, but I value protection over style and I like having something more substantial to hold on to.

The video on the Ballistic website was a great demo.
 
If anyone is interested in a Ballistic HC for their E4GT, I just picked up an HC for the Infuse and after a few mods it works great on my E4GT. I can post the details on how I did it if anyone is interested, or just look in the E4GT accessories section on XDA since I've already posted it there.
